Birthday Parties

We like to party! Birthdays are exciting no matter what – but a birthday at Whyalla Rec is even better. Our parties are funtastic and our YMCA staff are on hand to keep kids safe and take them through fun games and activities. Make your child's next birthday one to remember at Whyalla Rec.


YMCA Birthday Parties are available on Saturday and Sundays 11.00am-1.00pm and 2pm-4pm.

Standard Party Pack - $260 for up to 12 children


A Catered Party includes the following:

  • A funtastic 2 hour party
  • Party host (split 60 minutes facilitating activities, and 60 minutes serving food)
  • 12 x party invitations
  • Designated table area for 2 hours, including a gifts table
  • Tablecloth, plates, bowls and napkins
  • Your choice of the following:
    • Mini pies and sausage rolls (36 pieces) OR chicken nuggets (approx. 40 pieces)
    • Fruit platter OR salad platter (including crackers and dip)
    • Cadbury mini cakes OR jellies
    • Fruit boxes OR Pop Top water
  • 2 x bags of crisps
  • 1 x party lolly mix
  • Ice cream cake and candles

Terms & Conditions
  1. Standard Party includes 12 children. Extra children need to be listed under ‘extra child’ on the booking form at a cost of $12.25 per extra child.
  2. Children under the age of 5 years must have an adult within arms reach at all times for pool parties.
  3. Children must meet height requirements to use slide, 1.1 metres. If they do not reach this standard height they must be accompanied by persons 16 years or older as a tandem slide (this is the only way tandem rides will be accepted).
  4. A $50 non refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. Cost of the party must be paid in full five days before the party date.
  5. Food menu items will be substituted without notice based on availability.
  6. Commercial Food is prohibited within the Centre however parents are welcome to bring extra food in plastic containers if they wish to do so (no glass or ceramic).
  7. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for allergies however vegetarian options are available if discussed at time of booking.
  8. Parents and Children wishing to continue to use the facility at the conclusion of the party may do so as a general member of public, understanding that the Party space needs to be vacated.
